Parliamentary Groups and Members of Parliament

Dr. Tobias Mast writes in his contribution to the new Handbook of the Law of State Expression about the legal competencies and boundaries for parliamentary groups and members of parliament when communicating publicly in their official role.

CoverThis area of law is gaining in importance due to new ways of communication by public authorities, e.g. via social media. Warnings from food authorities, information from public prosecutors’ offices and other statements by public authorities can have consequences damaging the reputation of those concerned. The new handbook deals with these relevant legal issues in a scientifically sound and practical manner.
