Her research focuses on the information-seeking and opinion-forming behaviors of young people. In her work, she also examines new actors in public information dissemination as well as algorithmic platform structures.<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"auto\">As part of the project <a href=\"https:\/\/newws.leibniz-hbi.de\/en\/hbi-projects\/use-the-news-news-usage-and-news-literacy-in-the-digital-age\/\">\u201c#UseTheNews \u2013 News Consumption and Media Literacy in the Digital Age\u201d<\/a>, Leonie Alatassi is conducting various studies on information consumption and media literacy, with a particular focus on people under 30. In the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.usethenews.de\/de\/newsletter\">UseTheNews newsletter<\/a>, she provides a monthly overview of the latest publications on news and information consumption, digital media use, and political participation among young people.<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"auto\">As part of her master\u2019s degree in journalism and communication studies at the University of Hamburg, Leonie Wunderlich analyzed the news consumption practices and news avoidance strategies of young adults.\u202f Alongside her bachelor\u2019s degree in media and communication studies at the University of D\u00fcsseldorf and Aberystwyth University in Wales, she worked as a freelance journalist for a regional daily newspaper.<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":15,"featured_media":1423,"template":"","categories":[],"tags":[],"class_list":["post-2522","hbi-employee","type-hbi-employee","status-publish","has-post-thumbnail","hentry"],"acf":[],"yoast_head":"<!-- This site is optimized with the Yoast SEO Premium plugin v28.6 (Yoast SEO v28.6) -
