Marginalisierungen werden durch das Internet nicht nur \u00fcberwunden, sondern zum Teil auch fortgeschrieben. Selbst in hochtechnisierten Gesellschaften finden sich kommuni\u00adkations\u00adtechnologisch abgeh\u00e4ngte Menschen, gerade multipel Diskriminierte leiden unter er\u00adschwer\u00adten Zugangsm\u00f6glichkeiten. Dabei ist das Recht auf Internetzu\u00adgangVorbedingung\u00a0der Realisierung vieler anderer Menschenrechte, von der Meinungs\u00e4u\u00dferungsfreiheit bis zum Recht auf Bildung.<\/p>\n

[4.4 billion people have Internet access. But that also means 3.3 billion do not. The Internet not only overcomes marginalization but, in some cases, perpetuates it. Even in highly technologically advanced societies, there are people who have been left behind in terms of communication technology; those facing multiple forms of discrimination, in particular, suffer from limited access. Yet the right to Internet access is a prerequisite for the realization of many other human rights, from freedom of expression to the right to education.]<\/p>\n
